Creek Chub are fairly easy catches in the locations they are in. This is due to their decent sized mouths and their habit to travel in large dense schools. In these large schools when found they provide great action. Creek Chub are abundant through Toronto waters. For bait worms are very effective as well as corn on smaller hooks. Creek Chub will steer clear of Salmon and trout on their journey up river making it difficult to catch these fish at this time. Many people do use Creek Chub as bait for salmon and trout for when they travel up river. Casting in shaded areas are excellent spots for Creek Chub.
